We recently kicked off our Go Red For Women campaign in partnership with the American Heart Association! CEO Gabrielle Finley-Hazle led the hospital in celebration of heart health and the fight against heart disease.
We also hosted an event where cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure screenings were provided to employees as well as heart healthy snacks. Those who attended received fun red prizes and filled out support cards in honor of family members and friends who are battling heart disease.
Employees wore red to show their support and make a positive impact for a great cause.
Florida Medical Center also participated in the American Heart Association’s 2012 Go Red For Women luncheon in Ft. Lauderdale. Florida Medical Center Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Lance Simkins and Florida Regional Stroke Director Dr. Nils Mueller participated in breakout sessions focused on heart health.
At the event, Florida Medical Center CEO Gabrielle Finley-Hazle was also announced as the incoming chair for the 2013 Go Red For Women Campaign for Greater Ft. Lauderdale and Miami Dade. Florida Medical Center also participated in the interactive boutique at the event where guests could meet our staff, learn about the hospitals services and the dietary staff and executive chef were also on hand to provide delicious treats to attendees. Administration, physicians and staff also attended.
