Heart and Stroke Care Recognition

Florida Medical Center (FMC) has been recognized for significant achievement in implementing the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association Get with the GuidelinesSM.

The Get with the Guidelines program helps ensure the care hospitals provide for coronary artery disease, stroke and heart failure is aligned with the latest scientific guidelines.

In the July 23 issue of US News & World Report , FMC was one of 277 hospitals in the U.S. recognized by Get with the Guidelines  for its performance achievement in cardiac and stroke patient care.

Other FMC honors include designation as a Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) Primary Stroke Center, 2007 Blue Cross Blue Shield Florida, Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care; United Health Premium SM Program Cardiac Network Quality designation; and the American Society for Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.
